Jackal Kills Stork In An Epic Battle

Whilst filming two elephants playing in the water at Kubu Dam in the Pilanesburg National Park, Dian Swanepoel noticed a jackal lying flat on the ground in front of her. Within seconds the jackal had the neck of a marabou stork in its jaws.

“I was feeling both shocked and amazed at the same time whilst watching this all unfold, ” Swanepoel told Kruger Sightings.

“I felt terribly sorry for the marabou but a meal is a meal…we hung around for a bit watching the jackal dig into the feast and hit the road shortly after.”
