Epic Battle As Hyena Steal Kill From Wild Dog – Twice!

Whilst on a game drive in the Okavango Delta, Professor Peet Van Der Vyver came across a rare sighting. A pack of wild dogs had trapped a Lechwe (antelope) in a small water hole, and the battle was on.

At this point the antelope was fighting hard, and the optimistic among us would have believed it had a chance of escaping. When it’s attackers grew in both number and species however, all hope was lost.

The Lechwe soon belonged to the hyena. The wild dog, having been forced off their meal, head off in search of another. This time they bring down an impala. Turns out they didn’t put enough distance between themselves and the pesky hyenas…
