A Man Returns To The Jungle To Find A Gorilla He Hasn’t Seen For Five Years

Kwibi, a lowland gorilla, grew up with conservationist Damian Aspinall at his Howletts Wild Animal Park in England.

He was then released back into the forests of Gabon, West Africa, as part of a conservation programme to re-introduce gorillas back into the wild. When Kwibi was ten years old and Damian hadn’t seen him for five years, Damian went looking for him in the jungle.

Unsure of what Kwibi would do/think about Damian’s intrusion of his new home, he was determined to see his old friend again. This video is from back in 2010 and their reunion is remarkable…
