Rare Footage Captures Gigantic Sunfish Dwarfing Divers

This mesmerising moment was captured on film by photographer Miguel Pereira off the coast of Portugal.

These fish spend their entire lives in the open ocean, meaning encounters like these are extremely rare, and the it’s slow movements and the clear water make for some spectacular close-ups.

“The Sunfish seemed not to be bothered by our presence at all and followed us for 15 minutes.” – Miguel Pereira
