This is Nandi the Rhino orphan and Duma the resident dog at Thula Thula Rhino Orphanage.

Nandi is a rare baby black rhino rescued by the orphanage, and a new friend to pay with was just what he needed. Duma even offered to share his fluffy toy puppy and the two enjoy each other immensely.

We just can’t get enough of these two.

If you are worried that Nandi will get too big for Duma and they won’t stay friends, worry no more. A post on Facebook reassured that Duma is maybe even more adept than the orphanages handlers at sensing the rhino’s mood and reacting to it:

“Fortunately Duma has been reared with rhino and worked with a much larger black rhino, he is exceptional at reading their behaviour and seems to know when to get out of the way. With the older rhino Duma would pick up that the rhino was going to charge even before we spotted the subtle changes.”

The orphanage are currently trying to raise funds on Indiegogo, go check them out!
