Touching Footage Shows Injured Shark Nudging A Diver For Help

“Every time it swam by me, it would bump into me a little bit more,” diver Josh Eccles told local ABC News station WPBF.

According to Eccles it is not unusual for the lemon sharks to bump into divers, but when talking to ABC News he said, ‘they always bump into us but they don’t bump into us that frequently.’

And so Eccles suspected something was wrong, and went in for a closer look…

Once Eccles had removed the hook the shark swam away relieved, only to come back a number of times. Eccles believes this to be his way of saying thank you.
